Tobacco Pouch Trail to Fall Creek Trail
Date TBD • Dawsonville, GA, Georgia
Four different waterfalls, several streams, and cascades on one rugged loop in the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area. The trail follows the creek downstream to a crossing, then climbs past Fall Creek's cascades with plenty of steep sections and slick, rocky spots. The paths are narrow and not always clearly marked, so come ready for a real backcountry workout with big payoff views.
Trail Notes
- Difficulty: Hard · 1,473 ft elevation gain · about 3–3.5 hours
- What hikers say: stunning waterfalls and beautiful views for a great workout; steep elevation changes and narrow, unmarked paths are the main challenges.
- Good to know: dogs on leash are allowed. Reviewers recommend long pants and bug spray, and caution around slick rocks near the falls.
